Tommy Estes' Obituary
Tommy Estes, 74, transitioned from this life on January 25, 2021 in Tallahassee, Florida. Tommy was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky along with his three siblings. He attended Pleasure Ridge Park High School, making lifelong friendships while enjoying and excelling in various sports. He later continued his love of sports by joining an adult, travel softball team, hunting, Figure 8 racing in his 66 Chevrolet, and working with harness racehorses. He slowed down in more recent years to enjoy both fishing and golfing. He enjoyed the friendship of many as he had a quick wit and a genuine warmth with others.
His personality allowed him success in various sales positions. He also spent time working within the airline industry, which afforded him many years of travel and an introduction to his wife of 31 years.
He has left behind much loved family members, his wife Nancy, his two sons Brian (Gina) Estes of Nashville and Raymond Estes of Tallahassee, his three grandchildren Mallory Riley (Ricky), Taylor Estes, and Hunter Estes, and his great granddaughter Evie Riley, all of Nashville, as well as many other dear family members and friends, both old and new.
Tommy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1989 and we rest in knowing he continues to walk with Him today in complete healing. 2 Corinthians 5:1-8
Due to Covid-19 a ceremony is not planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, the Alzheimer’s Association, or a charity of your choice.
