Tommy truly enjoyed the ocean and found all its creatures fascinating. When we first met, he kept a saltwater aquarium and enjoyed snorkeling in the Florida Keys. We became dive certified together and dove Grand Cayman Island on our honeymoon. Throughout the years we were blessed to able to snorkel and dive in many beautiful places, Bermuda, Hawaii, Mexico, and throughout the islands of the Caribbean. When determining where to place his ashes, the Neptune Memorial Reef was a perfect location.

Tommy, although I know that your spirit is with the Lord, your earthly remains now have a resting place within the beauty of the ocean that was created by Him.

You alone are the LORD;
You have made heaven,
The heaven of heavens, with all their host,
The earth and everything on it,
The seas and all that is in them,
And You preserve them all.

I have so many great memories with Uncle Tommy. Going to FSU baseball games, fishing down by the dock behind the lake house, and countless vacations to Tallahassee and spending time with him, Aunt Nancy and Raymond. But what will stand out the most for me is the way he lit up the room with his joyous and infectious smile. He always had a way of bringing laughter to the room with his (sometimes corny) jokes. I just loved being around him.

Love you Uncle Tommy, I know you’ll have a great joke waiting for me when I see you again in Heaven one day.

I have some great memories with Tommy - watching him crush the ball on the golf course, watching FSU Baseball games together, and family dinners around the table. My favorite memories are Sunday breakfasts - Patti and I would join Tommy and Nancy after we went to church together and enjoy good conversations. Tommy was a great friend and brother-in-law. I will miss him, and look forward to spending more time with him in the future. I hope there's baseball in heaven...

MEMORIES OF TOMMY, MY BELOVED BROTHER-IN-LAW:

-You were always making the family laugh with your jokes, infectious smile and great personality.
-You were always counted on to say a loving prayer at the family get-togethers.
-You were always the fun Dad/Uncle with Raymond, Nick and Steven. Always willing to get on the floor and wrestle or get dirty in the backyard playing with the kids.
-You were always there to help Mom and Dad whenever they needed anything.
-You were always happy to let Willie and I (and Steven) invade your home when we came up to Tallahassee (which was a lot).

Miss you and love you Tommy! I look forward to seeing you again in Heaven where we will rejoice with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

MEMORIES OF TOMMY, MY BROTHER-IN-LAW, INVOLVED OUR MANY GREAT FISHING ADVENTURES:

-Big Lake Nona in Orlando with Gene when we caught 63 bass between the three of us.
-The pond at our Waterside Pointe Circle house when we caught 38 bass in two hours between the two of us.
-Your Lake Yvette house when we caught the biggest croppie we have ever seen.
-Dale Earnhardt Jr's dealership in Tallahassee when we met Jimmy Houston, Larry Nixon, Kevin Van Dam and Tom Mann Jr.
-Farm 13 stick marsh in Fellsmere when we caught a lot of bass but got stuck in a massive rainstorm.

Miss you buddy. We will fish together again in heaven and beat all of our past records!

I have a ton of memories in my mind with Tommy Dale Estes. Since meeting him in 1971, our 50 year friendship has never diminished. One funny memory I have with Tommy is when I helped him move to Orlando from Kentucky. As we were driving south, pulling a U-haul type trailer with all his earthly belongings. We were extremely excited about the fact that he would be living in a place where people in our area saved their money all year just to come for a week's vacation. As we're driving south, we talked about the great weather, Disney World, working at the Orlando Airport, and the increase in income due to no State income tax. Wow, what a deal. As we got closer to Orlando, we pulled into a toll station, and tossed in the toll, no big deal. We had tolls in Kentucky too. As we continued talking and going on our merry way, another toll station popped up. As we continue to get closer to the general area of the City where we were going, we're still talking about the financial benefits of no State taxes and how that even works, then another toll station. As we were nearing our last turnoff, another money eating toll stops us to devour our hard earned money and it dawned on us. "Oh, this is how they they manage No State Taxes. They rob you everywhere you go. We laughed at the thought of the "Money Eaters" waiting to pounce on us from every direction. All in all, it was the best move Tommy ever made. He met the LOVE of his life in Orlando and never looked back. Nancy was the best thing that ever happened to Tommy. Thank you Nancy for being there for my friend all these years. I will forget the life and times I had with Tommy Estes and you. We hope to see you soon.

We have been blessed to know Tommy and Nancy for about 35 years. Cheryl worked with Tommy and Nancy at US Air. He was generous, kind, loved the outdoors, sweet spirit, and loved the Lord. We were fortunate enough to travel to the ABC Islands to go diving, snorkeling and take in the sites. We know we will see him again in heaven. Kevin and Cheryl Sharp
