Russell "Russ" Ray Brooks, 78, of Quincy, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023 at his home. Russ was born in Logan County, Kentucky to Rupert and Maggie Brooks in 1945. He worked for the Division of Blind Services Read Obituary

On January 28th, we had a beautiful gathering and service for Russ at our home that he loved so much. Everyone got to say goodbye and some shared their thoughts and memories about Russ and what joy he brought to our lives. We gathered together in a prayer and again I told him that I love him.

I wanted to let everyone know that we will get together at my home, 447 Kant Circle, this month on Sunday, January 28, 2024 for Russ's Memorial Gathering. We will get together at or around 12:00. We can say goodbye and talk about our fondest memories of Russ. Debbie, I know you live so far away and we understand that. You can be with us in spirit at that time. Also if anyone can't make it, we understand and you can join us in spirit at that time as well. Nickie, you can let your family know too.
There will be refreshments also.
I want to say that I appreciate your patience in waiting because I knew the holidays were so close and I have been going to so many doctors about my cancer. I have cleared that date and I thought it would be easier for everyone to have it on a weekend and to have it on a Sunday so God can be with us and Bless us all.
