Mr. Richard Solomon's Obituary
Richard John Solomon passed away December 10, 2024, to a soft rendition of a favorite song “Surfing USA” at the age of 71. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John and Joyce Solomon. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in accounting, and an MBA. He made Tallahassee his home.
Richard loved many things: his family and friends, FSU football, swimming, real estate, the beach, cruising, sports, traveling, large gatherings/parties, surfing, and elephants. He especially loved making life fun and took every opportunity to include everyone in joining him - even at work. He had an infectious laugh.
Richard is survived by his wife Janice, daughters Jessica and Kelsey (Will), grandson David and siblings Brenda, Sandy (Dennis), Penny (Frank), Bonnie (Shelly), Debbie (Tim), Jim (Tarsa) and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Saturday, January 4 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice or to Big Bend Hospice.
