We had our bimonthly Comcast retires luncheon today and it felt empty without Phil being there. He was wonderful to work for and with him. It was a pleasure knowing him for 30 years. He alway had smile on his face that made you feel welcome. He will certainly be missed.
I worked for Comcast for years and mr.Phil was a good friend and coworker he will be missed………..
The first time that I met Phil was back in 2007. We had recently purchased a home adjacent to "the Carter property". A storm came through and dropped two very large oak trees from our property onto theirs and while taking out the electricity and cable for our small subdivision.
We were walking around in the yard trying to figure where to start when he came walking over. Although we had never met before, he realized that we were in a bad situation and immediately got on his cell phone and started calling some of his contacts at the City of Tallahassee & Comcast to come out & restore our power and cable. I have never forgotten that random act of kindness to someone who was a total stranger at the time.
We became friends & he always greeted me with a huge smile and a greeting of Hey, neighbor!
God's Blessings upon the Carters as they mourn the loss of a special father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He will be sorely missed by many.
Prayers for strength and comfort during this time to Phil's family and loved ones. All who knew him will miss him and his handsome smile. Rest in Peace Phil, see you on the other side!!🙏🙏❤️
Thank you for being a best friend to Danny and a light in both of our lives. RIP to a legend.
Phill you will forever be in our hearts, I have some of the best memories growing up and hanging out at the Newport campground during hunting season with the carter boys . You go rest high my friend and kill some big bucks up in heavens woods with my daddy “wig”. Prayers and love to all family and friends.
