Patsy Jean Pitts' Obituary
Patricia Jean "Patsy" Pitts, 81, of Greensboro, passed away October 24, 2024 at the First Commerce Center for Compassionate Care at TMH. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth "Buddy" Pitts, Jr. in 2016.
Patsy was born in Connecticut but spent nearly all of her life in Gadsden County. She was a member of Greensboro United Methodist Church where she played the piano. She was instrumental in starting the English speaking program at Greensboro UMC for Spanish speaking attendees and members. She enjoyed volunteering at Greensboro Elementary and playing music with a special group of friends at Hardaway Assembly of God. She dearly loved her family and was everyone's "Nana."
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Pitts (Angie) and Michael Pitts, both of Greensboro; one sister, Peggy Parrish (Butch) of Havana; three grandchildren, Jacob Pitts (Paige); Aaron Pitts (Rebecca); and Andy Pitts; and five grandchildren, Claire; Annie; Asher; Georgia and Ollie.
The Pitts family would like to invite friends to stop by the home of Stephen and Angie from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 29th to honor and celebrate Patsy's life. No formal service will be held.
