My thoughts and prayers go out to the Pitts' family and hope that cherished memories help carry you all through this difficult time.
I grew up next door to Mr. Buddy and Miss Pasty, as we all called her. In some retrospect, I felt as if I was their first child, because I knew them before Michael and Steven was born. I have so many fond memories of being with them riding around Greensboro or working with Mr. Buddy tearing down old buildings or building extensions onto their home. From the beginning of a year to the end of the same, into the next until I grew up and left Greensboro, these two wonderfully made individuals helped shaped my life to what it is today. My fondest memory, if I had to choose one, was the day Mr. Buddy, with Miss Pasty help and intervention, helped me get my first piano. You see Buddy Peddie’s mom had an old upright that she was getting rid of. Miss Pasty got Mr. Buddy and two other guys with his 1963 Chevy truck and we went down and got that piano. It was so heavy, I thought sure it would not be ok for the truck, but it made it back to our house. Needless to say, I grew into playing for my college choir and several churches. I continue to play for my church today. Each time I visited home, (Greensboro), Miss Pasty and I would always play each other a song on the piano. This is what I will miss! But, I know she is in Heaven’s hands, now a member of the heavenly host and playing the sweet songs of Zion, brings peace to my heart. Thank you Michael and Steven for sharing your parents with me. Some where there is a fig tree for me to climb to always peek over in their yard to make sure they were home. That’s when I knew cookies or something was there for me. They were and still is very dear to my heart. Peace, Prayers, and love to all of you!! Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into thy master’s joy!!
I met Pasty and Buddy in the late 1980s when I cared for her father Mr. Harold Lamb. Through caring for her father she and I grew a special bond, we remain friends and kept in touch. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity of knowing sweet Pasty. And even more grateful I got a chance to say my earthly goodbye. She will be missed dearly but I understand God’s plan is not our plan. To be absent from this present world is gain to be in the presence of the Lord! She’s no longer in pain! Love Gloria J. Doyle
Ms Patsy was a very special woman. She always had a smile on her face when we would all play music together. It was always a good time talking with her and hearing her stories. She will be missed by so many. I send my deepest condolences to all of her family.

Patsy and I were at TMH together having our children, her son and my daughter so we kept up with each other for years. She and Buddy were a blessing to Gadsden county. Prayers for all!!
Miss Patsy learned how to play the guitar as well as other stringed instruments at Hardaway Assembly. She was faithful and an example to others you are never too old to learn new things. She was very special to myself and all the People who play music at that little church every Thursday night. She is and will continue to be missed.
