Julie Frank's Obituary
Julie Michelle Frank (Michelle) was born in Oklahoma City in 1975 to Julie Ellen Frank and Charles Allen Frank. In her younger years she traveled to many places with her family since her father was in the Air Force. Places she lived included Grafton Virginia, St. Louis Missouri, Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, Bellevue Nebraska, and Fort Walton Beach Florida. She graduated from Bellevue East High School, class of 1993 and received The National Merit Scholarship. She attended Florida State University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with honors in 1997. During her time at FSU, she met her future life partner and husband of over 29 years, Christian Amason. After college she worked for many years as a chemist at a private environmental lab and then for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Her last job was with the City of Tallahassee at the Water Quality Lab.
Michelle was well known for her love of animals. She was involved with a rescue for Great Pyrenees and a rescue for horses. She had many animal companions over the years, ranging from rats, cats, and dogs, to snakes, birds, and horses, lavishing love on all of them. In 2016, Michelle participated in the Extreme Mustang Makeover challenge where she met her Mustang, Grace. She spent the last 8+ years working with Grace to improve her skills in Dressage.
She was a thoughtful, caring, and devoted friend with a wide range of interests and an unflagging curiosity about the world. A devout Christian, she lived her life as an example of firm faith.
Michelle was predeceased by her sister Lauren and is survived by her sister Rebecca and her parents Charles and Julie Frank as well as her husband Christian Amason.
