Our family were neighbors with John and Laurinda for many years. Our children were raised together and we have remained close after we moved. John was a great husband and father. He loved his family. When I received a call today from his son "Little John" my heart hurt because I know what family means to them and how he will be missed. John and I worked together at the Governor's office from 1989 until 1996. We talked fishing football and family something we shared together at least once a week. I last saw him at Leon HS for a special Olympics where he was helping the athletes in 2015. It was just like old times 20 years later. He was a good man, funny and a lot of fun to be with. It broke my heart to see this and I feel for the family in this time. RIP JDF I hope to sit down and see you in heaven and laugh again.
