I will forever remember his kindness and big heart. I’ll have to make his banana pudding recipie in his honor.
Always in our hearts.

It was a great joy having met John for the first time when he visited Cali many years ago.
He fully integrated to the group of Colombian friends who had been summoned to met our friend Alba Lucia's new husband she so very much and happily talked about.
He was so patient listening to everybody speaking on top of each other, and I then supposed he was getting an eye-opener as to what he had gotten into when marrying into this vivacious and extroverted Latin culture.
We got to meet a few more times and I have the best memories of him being always a gentleman, always a respectful listener, but mostly, as being the cause of our friend Alba Lucia's glowing smile and spirit.
Always in our memories, may you rest in peace
I have so much gratitude, respect, and love for John. He opened his house without asking questions and allowed me to learn English from him, to learn about his culture, and his history. He gave me all his support and love to succeed.
I remember every morning seeing his happy face with a big smile and always fixing something with so much precision and perfection.
I am so grateful for having the opportunity to learn from him when I was a teenager. To have his presence at my wedding and to spend some time with him during my first pregnancy.
John was a great man, and he touched so many lives that I am so happy to be one of those people.
Gracias John, te quiero mucho.
