Joan was my Aunt, my Dad's only sister and when I was 10, she took my brother and I on a road trip to Washington DC. We were there for about 5 days and got to tour the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorial, The Capital and Mount Vernon. Saw the vault with the Declaration of Independence and other points of interest and got a private tour of the FBI Headquarters because Joan worked for the FBI at the time. It was an awesome trip! We had lots of fun trips to a lodge in Canada every summer and being a Jr bridesmaid in Walt and Joans wedding was a real honor for me! I am sad but very grateful for the special person she was in mine and my families life and will cherish her memory always! 💖
