Jerry Lang's Obituary
Jerry Lang, 88, of Whigham, GA, passed away on August 7, 2021.
Jerry was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL. He graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts and served our country in the U.S. Navy. He worked for and retired from the Florida Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for Native Americans and was an independent consultant who worked tirelessly to help all Native Peoples. He was Free & Accepted Mason and Past Worshipful Master. He was also a member of the American Legion VFW Post in Cairo.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Lang of Deleware; Naomi (Noni) Louivere of Georgia; Shanan Lang of Georgia; one son, Jeremy Lang of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jessie Owsley of Delaware; Justin Owsley ; Jerry Benitez of Washington D.C.; and Jace Lang Welch of Georgia; his great-grandchildren, as well as many adopted friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Lang.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 2nd at the Tama Indian Reservation, 110 Long Pine Drive, Whigham, GA.
