Faye Patterson
My earliest memories are of Janet and how much fun she was. She was like a big sister to me growing up. I spent the summer of 1969 with her when our grandmother was dying. It has been a precious memory all my life. We reconnected about 7 years ago after going our own ways except for various funerals over the years. Janet has always been my hero and always will be. Living her life by what she believed was right and defending any who she was loyal to or loved. My greatest happiness now is that I spent our last 2 weeks with her this summer and she continued to tell me the stories from her life. Good and bad she shared these with me and I listened to her and we cooked together. She loved to feed those she loved. We cooked and we baked over the years and we laughed and cried together. No one can ever take her place.
I hope my love for her shows in this tribute because she and her Mama were so loved by me all my life.
