MSgt. James Walker "Jim" Dunson, Sr. (Ret.), 83, of Peachtree Corners, GA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 15, 2023. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Lifesong Read Obituary

I am honored to have the opportunity to leave a message here for my Sister Cheryl and her family on the passing to glory of their father, Mr Dunson. The way you cared for and loved your father testifies to the amazing man he was and the wonderful legacy and memories he has left you all. May you be strengthened and comforted knowing that your father is with Jesus. May God fill the coming days, months and years with His peace and wisdom for you all as you go forward in Jesus' name.
What a beautiful life of love and honor for his family and his country. I only met Mr. Dunson once, and though his mind was weakening, his smile and his spirit were radiating with kindness and love. It has been an honor to know him through the memories shared by his daughter and my sis Cheryl. I am grateful for how he loved her and his earthly family and cannot wait to one day hug him, as I join him in worshipping our King together face to face!!!

I was Jim’s hospice aide while he lived in Lockport, Ny. I only knew him for a little under a year before he moved to Georgia, but the imprint he left on my heart will be there for the rest of my life. It was truly an honor to know and to love Jim. How lucky are we to have such a beautiful, kind hearted angel watching over us all. ♥️
I met Mr. Dunson when I was about 13 years old and probably not the most well-behaved teenager! Yet then and throughout my life whenever I saw him he would give me the biggest smile and hug and treat me like family. I always felt seen and heard around him. A true gem of a man!
