Hugh Edward Cline Jr.'s Obituary
Hugh Edward Cline Jr. 76 of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away February 18, 2025, at Margaret Dozier House surrounded by his family and friends.
Hugh was born in Hickory, North Carolina, spent his early years in the Warner Robbins, Macon, Ga, area but later moved to Tallahassee where he lived for most of his adult life. Hugh was an artist, loved music and was a perfectionist when playing the guitar. He was an avid chess player, reaching Candidate Master in Over the Board Play and Master in Correspondence Play, and was an expert craftsman in his life work of carpentry and floor covering.
Hugh is survived by his siblings and their spouses, a brother Thomas Cline (Patty), Crawfordville, Fl; and two sister’s Donna Mahoney (Mark), Tallahassee, Fl; Marta Scott (Bill), Crawfordville, Fl., brother-in-law Roger Register, many nieces, nephews, and two lifelong friends John Chancey and Steve Cullifer.
Hugh was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Catherine Cline, his father, Hugh Edward Cline, Sr., and his sister Carol Register.
A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Tallahassee, FL, on March 1st, 2025, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Fight The Good Fight https://www.thegoodfightoffaith.com/
