Daniel
Hugh was the first person that saw my genius on the chess board. He nurtured my game and though stylisticly he vehemently rejected my romantic chess approach, he believed in my combinitive abilities. We spoke for 100’s of hours about chess. I never had anyone else that understood the game well enough to do that with. He was a legend to me and I’ll never forget my first win over him. He was a remarkable man and the only person I would ever consider my coach. RIP Hugh, will miss you brother.
