Angel Flynn
I had the pleasure of meeting derek when he was around 16/17. He gave the kind of advice that would change the way you think about struggling for life. Derek once told me “You are a conduit of nature and creation is inevitable.” when I considered seeking a new career path outside of art. I am still a kids book illustrator, I think about that every time life gets difficult. I will always remember Derek as the creative, funny, kindhearted man he was, and I am beyond sorry to hear of his passing. You all raised a very caring a kind young man and he will always be remembered as such by me and so many others thank you.
