Darrell Smith Stodard's Obituary
Darrell Smith Stodard, age 82, of Quincy, Florida passed away May 12, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Quincy, Florida.
Darrell was born on February 28, 1943, in Meridian, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Vimville High School. He spent the majority of his life working in the cowhide industry involved in international exporting and importing. He was an avid saltwater fisherman and enjoyed many years fishing with family and friends. He always had the biggest catch of course! He enjoyed deer and quail hunting and traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda, of 47 years and daughters Darlene Albanese (Scott), Tammy Alford (Gary) and Melanie Green (Robbie), grandchildren Jamie Williamson (Russell), Josh Alford (Nicole), Hunter Green and Holly Green, great-grandchildren Campbell Williamson and Baylor Williamson, sister Sara Andreou, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Preston Edward and Ruth Smith Stodard, brother Preston Ray Stodard, and sister Ruth Carolyn Cullum.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 5:30pm at Antioch Baptist Church, 284 McCall Bridge Rd., Quincy, FL 32351. All are invited to stay and enjoy a meal and continued fellowship following the service.
A committal reception will be held on Saturday, May 31 at 10:30am at Hebron Baptist Church in Meridian, Mississippi.
