I remember Dan as an outstanding, dedicated and loving father and husband. When we first moved to Tallahassee in 1987, we lived on the same street as the Congers. We both had two little boys, and they often played together. There were lots of happy times with our families.
Our paths crossed many times through the years, as Dan installed all of the blinds in our home. I will always remember Dan as a positive, loving man. Tallahassee and Dan's family and friends have lost a true treasure.

Danny was such an amazing man... funny, smart, and giving... always ready with a smile... and full of love for his family and friends. The world has lost one of its best, and he will be missed more than words can say.
Dan helped facilitate a huge change in my life that eventually helped me get married and buy my first home. Dan's exuberance and perpetual wit never faded. The last time we spoke we only joked about fun times we had, and were both laughing the whole time. He lived so happily through such a struggle. I will never forget him, and only hope to be half as strong as he was.
