Blake Robert Bennett's Obituary
Blake Robert Bennett of Osprey FL, died November 17, 2020. He was born January 25, 1998 in Sarasota, FL, The son of Susan Jacobson and Robert Bennett. He attended Pine View school in Osprey from Grades 2-12. After graduating high school in 2016 he enrolled in Florida State University, where he was completing his last year on track to finish two degrees, one in jazz performance and the other in psychology. He then planned to apply for a Master’s program.
Blake played basketball throughout middle and high school, graduated as an Eagle Scout, and was an accomplished musician. Blake played Trumpet and immediately loved Jazz. He naturally was drawn to helping others, so his goal was to combine music and psychology in a way that would do that. He was considering a career in music where he would work with children and adults with neurological disorders, developmental disorders, and mental health needs.

The Family wishes to acknowledge that Blake’s Rescue-dog “Wally” was a very special part of Blake’s life and theirs. In lieu of Flowers, Blake would’ve wanted the Sarasota County Humane Society to be recognized or supported in any way.
