Windell Allen Humphries' Obituary
Windell ‘Allen’ Humphries of Tallahassee, FL, passed away at 63 years of age on December 18th, 2023.
He is survived by a son (Frank Humphries), a daughter-in-law (Norma Jay Humphries), and a granddaughter (Myla Jayne Humphries) and beloved by many other close family members; Donna Humphries, Francis Messina, Melissa Blake, Raquel McAdams, Haleigh Blake, & Trey Sheffield.
Allen was born in Pelham, Ga, on April 2nd, 1960, to Leon Windell Humphries and Lois Marie Singleton. He graduated from Thomasville High School in 1978 where he made many lifelong friends. While in high school, he began his career in welding and machine work, eventually becoming a specialist in the repair of hydraulic cylinders. Allen was also an avid hotrod and muscle car enthusiast, owning and building countless cars, trucks, and rebuilding engines. He was the man to call if something was broken or needed fixing.
Allen will be missed dearly by all his friends and family for his kindness and willingness to help in times of need. A celebration of life will be held at his son’s house on January 20th, 2024, from 10 am – 3 pm. Friends and family are welcome to visit to share memories and photographs.
