Willie Mae Hicks' Obituary
Willie Mae Hicks, 98, of Hardaway, Florida passed away on July 9, 2013. She was born on September 28, 1914 in Jackson County, Florida. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro and a member of Bykota Ladies’ Sunday School class and a longtime employee with Frosty Morn in Quincy, Florida.
She is survived by her son, James Mahue Shepard and wife Genera, of Hardaway, her daughter, Miriam Juanita Hood and husband Clayton of Panama City, Florida. She leaves behind grandchildren, Beverly Mabardy, Kimberly Smith, Timothy Hood and wife Maura, Tammy Murdock and husband Marty. She also is survive by her great grandchildren, Stephen, Brooke, Tyler, Trey and Dustin. Willie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, E.K. “Red” Hicks.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 12 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Greensboro. Services will follow at 12:00 Noon, with the Reverend John Forsman officiating. Serving as pallbearers are, Ed Willie Brogdon, Timothy Hood, Tyler Shepard, Stephen Anderson, Martin Murdock and Dustin Murdock.
