You taught me to be quick to forgive and to stand up for what was right. Be strong in times of adversity and weather the storms of life. I will forever appreciate and miss the conversations and times we had together. I will always carry your strength and courage through every one of life's battles. Through Jesus Christ I know we will always triumph. Rest in power my Father. Until we meet again, Love always from a grateful son.

Memories coming to mind include hunting Rabbits, Squirrels...and at night Possums with my Brother Willie. Me and Willie ate cornbread and butter milk after school, After eating we would go to the fields. Willie and I would help our Mother Essie Mae which included my brother's ( Rafus & Hershel) and other family. They would be in the field chopping cotton(weeding so it would grow), or picking cotton to put in the bag which we dragged along. I was young and would enjoy a rest under a shade tree after working with my family. Willie would continue working, after resting I would re-join the group.

We will miss you uncle, So thankful for all the spiritual and family conversations. Kevin and I recall on one of your visits to Detroit, he shared with you the job stresses and you quickly said " lets pray" your light will always shine brightly in our hearts!
I will always remember the times an talks we had, man we had some good times Grandpa you will be missed but never forgotten, as long as a Fitten is here you’ll live on through them, till we meet again young man.

I will always cherish the fun times we had growing up and attending school together. I am also so happy we had an opportunity to have one last conversation a few days ago. My condolences to your family members who are in my prayers. I will miss you, but I look forward to seeing you again in paradise.
