David was born in Chochran, GA and later moved to the Tallahassee area. His smile was infectious. Everyone around his couldn’t help but smile no matter the situation because as he would always say, “Smile baby, tomorrow is a new day.” He had a way of making anything okay. He had a P.H.D (Post Hole Digger) certificate. David was an expert on building and installing fences. Most of the family followed in his footsteps and went on to become fence installers as well. He was an inspiration.
David and Laura were best friends during childhood through early adulthood and later married in 1991. Their favorite days together were spent at home, drinking coffee, playing cards and laughing. Even through trying times their bond could not be broken. Their love could be seen and felt by anyone around. David and Laura were the definition of True Love.
David was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed working in the yards, and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. David was especially proud of his blue 1978 Ford Ranger which he devoted so much time to. David loved spending time with his family especially his best friend Adalee. One of his favorite things to do was to pick Adalee up from school and take her to the Dollar General. His family was always his number one priority and there isn’t anything in the world he wouldn’t give to make his family happy. A special thanks to Karmel; Larry; Amanda and Todd Hawkins for their continued support.
There will be no memorial services for David. The family will be having their own services in remembrance, just as he would have wanted.
