William Warren Lange's Obituary
“Do Small Things With Great Love”
William Warren Lange, age 74, passed away at his home on Monday, February 27, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Bill, as he was known to all, was born on November 13, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. He spent his early years living in Chicago and Tarpon Springs, Florida. He attended the University of South Florida and went on to work in many capacities in state government. In addition, he founded and owned several healthcare consulting businesses across the state. He was a member of Element 3 Church, the Companions of the Society of St. Francis, Province of the Americas and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Bill often found himself living on or near the water, be it the beach, enjoying boating and fishing, or marrying the love of his life aboard a sailboat at Shell Point, Florida on September 17, 1989.
Having never met a stranger due to his gift of being able to talk to just about anyone, Bill not only loved people, but made friends everywhere he went and was genuinely interested in getting to know them. He was deeply spiritual and possessed a passion for life, friendships, family, and helping others. One of his most often uttered phrases was, “You can’t keep it unless you give it away,” and he took these words to heart by dedicating his time to serving others through recovery counseling, fund raising, mentorship, and ministry.
Bill loved to travel and embarked on many adventures both across the U.S. and overseas, with particularly memorable trips to destinations such India and Guatemala, where he was active in the Casa Tat Loy Rehabilitation Center and continued his work in support of its mission to “Save Families, One Man At A Time” until the time of his passing.
Left to cherish his memory, retell his best stories, and continue his legacy of love are his adoring wife, brother, children, grandchildren, beloved pets, and many other family members, friends, and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Element 3 Church, 1190 Capital Circle NE, Tallahassee, FL 32301 on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to Porch De Solomon https://porchdesalomon.org/donate
