William Ike Carlisle, Sr., age 69, passed away on January 8, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
William (W.C.) was born on January 10, 1954 in Lanett, Alabama, before he relocated to Quincy, Fla. He went on to become a professional truck driver for 45 years. He had a successful career due to his impeccable work ethic, dependability, and genuine love for the job.
But more than anything, W.C. was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, sharing stories, playing games, and watching his favorite movies. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In his free time, W.C. enjoyed yard work, listening to music, making people smile, visiting and spending time with family. He loved looking after his loved ones and kept his commitment to his father, Jack (Jasper), “To always take care of each other.”
W.C. is survived by his wife, Lenora, his children, William, Jr. (LaTresa), Felicia, Angela (James), Chadwick (Dejana), and Shelette. He was richly blessed with 11 grandchildren (Jacarie, Jordan, Marco, Jr., William III (Trey), Naomi, Jakayla, Miron III, Javon, Jay, Jr., Asyiah, and Axiah . His memory will be celebrated by all who knew him.
