William (Buddy) Kenneth Pitts, Jr.'s Obituary
William Kenneth “Buddy” Pitts, Jr., 74, passed away peacefully at his home early on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia.
Buddy was a native of Greensboro and lived in Greensboro his entire life. He was an active member of the Greensboro United Methodist Church, the Greensboro Kiwanis Club, and a regular contributor to the West Gadsden Historical Society. A long-time member of the Greensboro Town Council, he was named Mayor of Greensboro in 2002.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael and Stephen (wife, Angie); three grandchildren, Jacob; Aaron; and Andy Pitts; and a multitude of friends.
Visitation will be held at the home of Stephen and Angie Pitts, 3849 Bristol Hwy., Quincy, FL, on Friday, June 17th from 5:00-8:00pm. Services will be held at the Greensboro United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 18th at 11:00am. A private committal service will be held at Sycamore Cemetery. Lifesong Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Lighthouse Children's Home, 7771 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32309.
