Ward Lester Hetrick's Obituary
Ward Lester Hetrick (95) passed away at 11:00pm on Sunday December 11, 2022. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones for his last days. Ward was born on March 16, 1927 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania and was the Patriarch of the family.
Ward resided in Bainbridge, Georgia for the past 17 years with his wife Lillian who passed away in 2019. Prior to that, he was a long time resident of Toms River, New Jersey. He retired from Fort Monmouth, New Jersey as a Logistics Management Specialist (GS13) on December 10th 1980. He was a proud WWII/Korean War Navy Veteran, was a past president/ER of the of the Asbury Park Elks Lodge, a member of St. Andrew UMC in Toms River and a member of the Holiday City Organization of Silverton.
He was a loving Dad, Pap, Uncle and was loved and respected by all who crossed his path. He is survived by his children, Gary and Sue Hetrick, Patti and Wes Ferry, Tami and Andy LeCompte and Jeff and Julie Hetrick. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly, and countless nieces, nephews and extended family that he and Lil welcomed into their home.
