Travis Paul Marchant 's Obituary
Travis Paul Marchant, 74, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
Travis was born in Chipley, Florida to Tinnie and Arthur Marchant on May 7, 1943, where he lived before moving to Tallahassee. Travis was an FSU graduate an entrepreneur and businessman. His most successful retail venture was known as the Wicker Picker. With stores located throughout Florida. He was the first director of the Leon County Housing Authority and also a former Leon County Commissioner.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Tinnie and Arthur Marchant and brothers Hubert, Don, Dan, Bill and David (Butch) and sisters Lynn Strain and Vera Russell.
He is survived by his daughters Michelle Griffin (John), Brady Marchant and grandchildren John P. Griffin, Maureen Griffin, Travis A. Marchant, Amanda Marchant and MaryKate Marchant, and his Fiancé, Sharon Martellaro.
A service will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, March 10 at Lifesong Funeral Home, 20 S. Duval, Quincy, Florida
