Thomas L. Stumbaugh's Obituary
Thomas L. Stumbaugh, a devoted husband, skilled craftsman, and proud veteran, passed away on April 14, 2026, in Monticello, Florida, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 66 years old.
Born on August 3, 1959, in Valdosta, Georgia, Thomas dedicated much of his life to hard work and service. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he carried the values of discipline and dedication into his professional life as a commercial painter.
Beyond his career, Thomas was a man of many passions. He was an exceptionally talented woodworker who found great satisfaction in creating beautiful and useful furniture, leaving behind tangible reminders of his skill and creativity. Those who knew him well will fondly remember his enthusiasm for Florida State football and NASCAR—joys he most loved sharing with his beloved stepson, Joey.
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Rebecca Stumbaugh; his brother, Frank Stumbaugh (wife Roxanne); and his sisters, Chris Stumbaugh and JoAnn S. Nelson (husband Ed). He is also survived by a large and loving extended family. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends, who will remember him for his strength, his craftsmanship, and the quiet joy he found in the things he loved.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate his life.
