Thomas W Rauch
I don't know why I checked on Tom. I guess I felt his loss. I met Tom when I was 16 and he was 21. I was just a kid then, but he treated me like an equal. He was a big brother to me, and I loved him dearly. For years we went everywhere together. Our friends called us "the two Toms." He always had something fun to do; whether it was sailing on his boat at Shell Point, going to the beach, or water skiing, we always seemed to have fun. I'm 68 now, and I honestly think my best day was on that sailboat chasing the porpoises and listening to Pink Floyd. I remember vividly. But . . . I joined the Army, and, even though we kept in touch, we never could put the lightning back in the bottle. I deeply regret ever losing touch with Tom. Rest in peace my dear, dear friend. Tom Rauch
