Theresa Marie Skipper's Obituary
Theresa Marie Skipper, 63, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away peacefully at home, March 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her husband of almost 41 years, Ken Skipper.
Theresa was born October 18, 1961 in Sanford, FL to Jack & Carolyn Molder. She was the youngest of three children, having 2 brothers, Harry & Michael.
Theresa and Ken met while attending Florida State University, where they both earned degrees in music. Her degree was in music therapy. She later earned a Master's in Business Administration. She was also a Certified Internal Auditor for the State of Florida. Even the highway patrol had to answer to her.
Theresa and Ken had one daughter, Jessica, and two grandchildren, Madison (Maddie) & Jackson. Theresa loved spending time with all of them. Going to the beach with her family was her favorite outing.
Theresa was an accomplished musician, playing piano, guitar, and enjoyed singing at an early age. She often played and sang in her local church. She and her daughter, Jessica were often asked to sing in church when they visited her parents in North Carolina. She and Ken loved playing and singing bluegrass and gospel music. They were always a hit at jam sessions at Jack & Carolyn's house. Her home continues to always be filled with music & laughter.
Theresa also loved working with their golden retrievers & corgi.
A celebration of life will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3705 N. Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL in the sanctuary, Monday, March 24th at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family ask that a donation be made in Theresa's name to the Fellowship Baptist Church or Big Bend Hospice.
