Mr. Theodore C. Williams' Obituary
Theodore “Ted” Clifford Williams, 77, of Alligator Point, Florida will forever be remembered by loved ones. Ted was born July 16, 1947, in Miami, Florida, and passed away in Tallahassee, Florida, on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Ted served in the Army from 1967-1969 and retired from the Navy Reserves in 1997. He was a proud Seabee. He spent time in Hialeah, Florida; Spring Hill, Florida; Iraq; Saudi Arabia; and London.
Ted received an Associate Degree in Science from Broward Community College. He worked as an electrician for Pinellas County Schools for many years and finished his working career at the Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS), Florida State University. He shared much with his loved ones as a storyteller, reader, lifelong learner, and advisor. He will be remembered as brave, tough, strong, and sensitive. He loved being a Native Floridian. Some of his favorite things were being on the water, fishing, and music.
Ted is survived by his wife, Lyra Erath, of Alligator Point, Florida, children Marc (Amy) Williams, California, Melissa (David) Copeland, Ohio, Ashley (Kevin) Salsbery, California, stepchildren Amanda (Jacob) Erath, Chas (Amber) Erath, grandchildren Conrad and Dean, step-grandchildren Lyza and Charlotte, and sister Sandy (Steve) Isbell. He is predeceased by parents Theodore Lincoln Williams and Laura Williams, and siblings Eddy, Jack, and Rita.
His memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, 11:00 a.m., at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, Florida. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
