Terry L. Dewall's Obituary
Terry Lynn DeWall was born in Freeport, Illinois on January 1, 1949. He was the one of three sons. He lived in Freeport through high school, where he married his first wife, Gail Keppen. They had two daughters, Amanda and Lisa. Joining the Army, he was deployed to Germany to be a laboratory technician during the Vietnam War. They returned to Illinois but eventually moved to Clearwater, Fl. During his time in Clearwater, he took medical courses at U.S.F. in Tampa, Fl. After Gail and Terry parted ways, he moved to Tallahassee, Fl. in 1980 and married Kelly DeWall. In Tallahassee he became a certified medical technologist and worked for many years as a phlebotomist at Southern Plasma, a blood bank in Tallahassee. He had a daughter, Hannah, with Kelly in 1985. His interests were diverse. A world music buff, photoshop genius, and a gardener with permaculture and copper. He was a self taught chef that could pull off a raw Thanksgiving Dinner, a dog guardian, a craftsman of many mediums, a poet, an artist, a naturalist, a dreamer and a problem solver. He was always looking for the positive side of any situation. Most of all, he will be remembered as a true critical thinker and an inspiration to all of us left behind. He will always be loved, especially in this fall season of his passing, November 26, 2024.
