I was blessed to have met Mrs. Susanna in 2014 while volunteering at the Big Bend Lighthouse. She was such a brilliant woman with the most beautiful sole. She taught me so much throughout my time knowing her. Thank you Mrs. Susanna!! She had the most amazing heart, although for those who knew her knows she didn’t play the radio (didn’t play any games lol). My heart will forever we be heavy knowing that I missed the final days of your beautiful presence since I relocated out of the Tallahassee area in 2020. 🥹 I will forever cherish you Mrs. Matthews! 💜 Mom, the boys and I miss you dearly! I pray you and Mr. Matthews are finally reunited and making up for lost time!! ❤️🩹😘

I met Susanna back in 2019 and she was truly a strong, inspirational woman who I’ll always carry in my heart. I will always cherish her gift, The Blue Sea Cookbook. For years I’ve kept it on my main cookbook holder. I intend on keeping there for years following. I really do miss you Susanna, you certainly did light up this world.

Ms. Matthews stood up for me when few others would. Many times ahe gave me the a place in this community and that inspired me to live up to her expectations and give back as much as possible. I admire her and will continue to follow her example of responsible politics and faith in humanity.
