Susan Octavia Rudd 's Obituary
Susan Octavia Rudd, 67, passed away peacefully in Tallahassee on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, surrounded by her children. Susan was born in Tallahassee on December 14, 1948 and lived most of her life there. For much of her career she was employed by the state of Florida and later enjoyed working for Rose Printing Company before retiring.
Susan was an avid folk historian authoring 20 Faces and Places: A History of People of Highway 20 and the Ochlocknee River Area. She also published The 20 Times newsletter which informed West Tallahassee area residents of local news and events.
Susan is survived by her children: Tammy Knoll-Anderson (Mark), Tonya Wagner, William (Bill) Clark (Robyn), Cherrie Clark and several loving grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayward Rudd and Velma Cotton, as well as her daughters, Darlene Brand and Christian Slattery.
A memorial service will be held at the Bible Believers Fellowship to be announced at a later date.
