Susan Kane's Obituary
Susan Kane, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born Susan Lynn Rivard on March 17, 1954, in Michigan, she was preceded in death, by her parents, John and Betty Rivard, her brother Glenn Rivard, and her cherished grandson, Chase. She made Florida her home in 1984.
A dedicated educator, Susan taught medical assisting for many years, touching countless lives through her honesty, warmth, and a sharp wit that brought laughter to those around her.
In 2007, she met the love of her life, Steven Kane. They shared a deep bond, often found together on their porch, enjoying nature's quiet comforts.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Kane; her son Don Stodl (Billie Joe), her daughters, Amy Gravitz (Chance), Carrie Strodl and Tammy Bomia (Jim); eleven grandchildren: Don, Miranda, Nicci, Alana, Ethan, Adam, Genesis, Jacob, Jordan, Amanda and Brandon; and nine great-grandchildren.
Susan's legacy of strength, determination, humor and love will live on in all who knew her.
A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
