Susan Bechstein's Obituary
Susan Delores Mobley Bechstein of Tallahassee, FL, passed away surrounded by family at home on September 1, 2017, at the age of 63. Susan is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Dollar Joiner; father, Joseph Mobley; husband, John T. Bechstein,; grandson, Beau Tooney; and brother, Gary Mobley.
Susan Bechstein is lovingly remembered by her sons, John Evans of Monticello, FL; and Justin Evans (Leslie) of Tallahassee, FL; her grandchildren, Schuylar, Logan, Madison and Keira; sisters, Pat Griffin (Randall) of Tallahassee, FL; and Sue Ann Mobley of Jupiter, FL; brothers, Leroy Mobley of Monticello, FL; and Jerry Mobley (Pat) of Cairo, GA; and her nieces, nephews and cousins.
Susan was born in Bainbridge, GA on April 30, 1954. She attended Jefferson County High School in Monticello, FL and later worked for the school system before becoming an insurance agent with Liberty National Life Insurance. Susan was honored and awarded throughout her career for excellence and top performance as an insurance agent.
Susan enjoyed playing co-ed softball, cheering on the Seminoles, watching the Atlanta Braves, watching Wheel of Fortune, and trips to Biloxi to try her luck at the casino. Above all else she loved spending time with her family and friends.
The visitation and service will be held at New Hope Christian Center, 2725 Florida Georgia Hwy, Havana, FL on Monday, September 4, 2017. Pastor Ron Roessler will be officiating. Viewing will begin at 10:30am followed by the service at 11:30am. There will be a private burial at Roseland Cemetery in Monticello.
