Sue Herring Anchors' Obituary
Sue Herring Anchors, 83 was born in Tallahassee. She was a longtime resident of Tallahassee and passed away peacefully at the Margaret Z. Dozier House on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Sue is survived by her son, Robert M. Harper, III and his wife, Doniece, 2 grandchildren, Brian Harper and Aleah Seals, and three great-grandchildren, McKenna, Wyatt and Clara. She was preceded in death by her parents Hoy and Clara Herring and her sister, Shirley Herring Rowe.
Sue loved and cared for her family and friends above all. She worked in several areas for the State of Florida, including the Department of Education, the Florida Senate, the Attorney General and the Department of Labor.
A graveside service and interment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery (806 Piedmont Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32312) on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
