Sad that I did not connect with Steve earlier. I remember as University of Hawaii students “working” at the Waikiki Aquarium. The three of us, kind of an odd three musketeers, with Steve standing out because of his height, Richard Palfin, from New York, who was going for his doctorate and me, the local, on occasion having a few drinks next door at Queen’s Surf, which is no longer in existence. Steve had no problem in adjusting to life in Hawaii and I’m sure had fun and enjoyed himself. He went through 2 or 3 cars, one of which was a corvette and that in particular, is a memory I have of him driving into the Waikiki Aquarium parking area.
