Shirley Ann Palm's Obituary
Shirley Ann (Parramore) Palm, 85, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of Mt. Pleasant, FL, passed away June 5th, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Richard Palm. They were married for almost 68 years.
Shirley was born in Lake Park, FL and lived there for 17 years before marrying her high school sweetheart, Richard Palm. Shirley left Lake Park, FL after Richard enlisted in the Army. After serving in the military, Richard and Shirley lived in West Palm, FL and Memphis, TN before finally settling on the Parramore family homestead in Mt. Pleasant.
Shirley was an avid outdoors woman and she enjoyed fishing, hunting and bird watching. She also enjoyed cooking and golfing. She and Richard traveled the world together when they were younger. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a charter member of Lake Park Baptist Church in Lake Park, FL.
Other survivors include four children, Jeff Palm (Janet) of Recovery, GA, Elaine Latta (Mike) of Americus, GA, Clay Palm (Cindy) of Dothan, AL, and Katy Edwards (Joey) of Mt. Pleasant, nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Helen Parramore, and three brothers, Donald, Gene and Kenneth Parramore.
The family will receive friends at Richard Palm's home, 3720 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Quincy, FL 32352 on Sunday, June 8th, from 3:00- 5:00 PM. Shirley will be privately interred at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
