Mrs. Sharon Ann Pippins' Obituary
Sharon Ann (Murphy) Pippins, 75, passed away January 14, 2025, at Seven Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tallahassee, Florida. She was born on February 1, 1949, in Hartford, Kentucky to William Miles and Rose Vina (Gilbert) Murphy.
After high school graduation, Sharon attended technical training in Owensboro, Kentucky to become a key punch operator. She was employed for many years as a bank teller and eventually became a computer operator/programmer. In 1986, she married James E. Pippins. They resided at Vandenburg AFB until August 1993, then Cheyenne, Wyoming until 1997, moving to Panama City, Florida in September 1997. In May 2018 they moved to D’Iberville, Mississippi until March 2022. The family moved for the last time to Tallahassee, Florida.
Sharon was an award-winning quilter and a member of the St. Andrews Bay Quilting Guild. She also enjoyed needle point and in younger years, made her own clothes. While she didn’t particularly enjoy cooking, she was a great cook, creating delicious food for her family.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her twin sister, Karen Geary. She is survived by her husband, James; her daughter, Dusty Eubanks (Chris); grandchildren, Chloe, Lexie and Colton Eubanks; her brother, Bill Murphy (Patty); stepchildren, Keith Pippins and Angela Furst (Christopher) and a step granddaughter, Piper Furst.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 20, 2025, at 12:15 PM at Lifesong Funeral Home, 20 S. Duval Street, Quincy, Florida with a service to follow at 1 PM.
