Ms. Sharon Buzek's Obituary
Ms. Sharon Ann Buzek, 79, of Tallahassee, passed away on May 4, 2024.
Sharon was born in Utica, New York on August 11, 1944, to Dominick and Marguerite Bertolini
DeJoseph. After high school graduation, she worked in healthcare eventually becoming a
licensed practical nurse (LPN) and worked as a loving, caring nurse for many years, serving a
special needs population.
She relocated to Tallahassee in 1993 from Homestead, Florida after losing all material
possessions because of Hurricane Andrew. Even during adversity, she remained a sweet,
selfless woman who loved everyone. She was an amazing mom, sister, grandmother, great
grandmother, godmother, and human.
Some of her favorite things were spending time with loved ones. She enjoyed theme parks and
cruises, working puzzles, playing games on her tablet, and watching The X Files. She and her
family watched the series repeatedly and Sharon never stopped loving FBI agent Fox Mulder!
Ms. Buzek was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Richard “Skippy” DeJoseph. She is
survived by her brother, Michael; son, James Buzek; her daughter; Melissa Buzek; seven grandchildren and three
great grandchildren and her former husband, James Buzek.
A celebration of Ms. Buzek’s life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Lifesong
Funeral Home, 20 S. Duval Street, Quincy, Florida.
