Scott Nelson's Obituary
Scott Alan Nelson, born July 18, 1963, passed away December 1, 2025, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Scott will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lola Mozell “Mo” Nelson and his father Donald Keith Nelson, Jr.
Scott is survived by his sister Debby (Nelson) Alexander and husband Glen Alexander, as well as his nephew Rusty Alexander, his wife Shiobahn; niece Carla (Alexander) Vignoul and her husband Jason.
Scott was born in South Bend Indiana. In high school he moved to Panama City Florida and later Orlando Florida. Eventually he moved to Tallahassee Florida where he resided most of his adult life. Scott was a fun and unassuming man. He is best described as a great conversationalist and loved to tell jokes. Some of his greatest joys came from spending time with friends laughing and chatting. Scott was a bright light to all who knew him and never missed an opportunity to put a smile on anyone’s face.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at Shannon Lakes Park on February 21, 2026 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
