Sandra Roath Bartlett's Obituary
On Wednesday, January 11, Sandra Bartlett, 78, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away.
Born to Versa Mae and Leo Roath, Sandra was raised in Miccosukee, Florida with her six brothers and sisters. She graduated from Leon High School. She enjoyed many different jobs during her life, but her favorite and longest career was in health care . Sandra was a CNA for a home health agency. Her love for people, and her ability to make others feel special , made her a perfect match for working with terminally ill patients. She wanted each patient to feel comfortable and cared for in their last days.
In her free time, Sandra loved reading, creating a loving home, and being an active member of her church. She was a loving wife to the late Reginald Bartlett, and a wonderful mother to two daughters, Catherine and Sandi. Sandra loved to spoil her three grandsons. To Zackary, Quinn, and Luke Ward, Sandra will always be their beloved Mimi. She was always available for a hug, a listening ear, and a reminder that God will work all things out for our best.
Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 25, at Faith Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida. The service will be at 3:00 pm, Sandra did not like black, so please honor her memory by wearing happy colors.
In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead make a donation to the Faith Baptist "Backpacks for Kids" program, which provides weekend meals for underprivileged children. This ministry was close to Sandra's heart.
