Takeshia Stokes
Since 2007, we've been knowing and loving each other, you are forever the sharpest pencil and the steadiest ruler the Florida Legislature has ever had in its verification/editorial repertoire, and I am so honored to have served with you during several legislative sessions, and gotten to know you as friend and my, dare say "adopted Grandma/mentor" in some ways. You are the Midwest's finest, and the epitome of grace and grit! A real American firecracker in the best way. I love you, Ms. Roselind. Your "Bandit" aka Pirate, ha-ha, we both know Bandit is his beloved brother, loves and misses your hugs and kind inquiries about him. June 8th at 4:54 p.m., I didn't know that would be the last time we spoke/interacted this side of Heaven, but I cherish our last text message and the sweet video of Pi running with his fur cousin, Tati, that I shared with you, and your star eyes emoji response. You loved him and I. Thank you! You loved us all, and you took care of us all like we were you own, like family, you gave above and beyond all the time, and you NEVER let life keep you down. Whenever, it rained, even poured, you kept straightening out your umbrella and chin up high, you danced, you danced, you danced, like you knew how because life goes on, and you make the best of it all as you often told me by example and life stories. I had to write something, hope you're okay with my grammar/syntax. lol. I love you, so much, bunches really, (forgive me if I didn't tell you enough) Ms. Roselind, you rest now, you did a great job! I know you're dancing in Heaven. xoxo Takeshia Stokes and Pirate "Bandit" :)
