I met Ron when we both attended Gulf Coast Community College in 1970. We sat next to each other in a class called "Marriage and Family Living". We struck it off immediately. His wonderful personality was just welcoming and inviting. We became friends that day and forever forward. As our lives changed over the years I lost contact but never forgot about him. I had the pleasure of running into him at Harbor Freight a few years ago and introduced him to my son, as well as met his son. He never forgot a person he knew. We talked for a while and parted ways again! Ron, I will never forget your positive attitude and wonderful smile. You were a joy to be around and I will miss you always! To Cecelia and RC, God bless you and give you comfort in this time of grief. I consider you lucky to have spent many years with this loving individual. The overwhelming feeling of loss, hurt and sadness I feel is so
very real in the passing of my great friend Ron Johnson. During these sad times it is a blessing to remember the good positive times and the unforgettable memories. Times he spent in the Florida Legislature, Big Sam's Annual Hunts, a week in my home with our friend Duane Capps, a week-end with his wife Cecelia, and yes even two weeks in my home in recuperation from earlier sickness. All of these are positive memories shared with my friend Ron. Our prayers and sincere condolences are for his wife Cecilia, his son RC and all the Johnson family as we say our final goodbyes to this great man Ron Johnson.
