I worked with Ronnie at FDOT. I was a young auditor and Ronnie took me under his wings. We worked on the MIC project together and made several trips to Miami and other places for work. Over the 3 years I worked for him, he went from my boss to a friend. Our friendship span over 20 years. When I moved to South Carolina, he came to my house for visits. He sent my sons birthday gifts or random toys he thought they would like. When I visited Tallahassee, his house was always open for my family to stay and we did sometimes. Whenever I need a refreshing and honest conversation about our government, Ronnie and I would talk and laugh. Honestly, he was very funny. I will miss our telephone calls, especially around our birthdays. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Ronnie and I met when we both worked at DHSMV OIG. We were colleagues and then became fast friends. He was a dedicated and hard working true professional. I enjoyed hearing about the trips he took with his mom. He loved race car driving and would occasionally bring me back “loot” from those trips. I still have those T-shirts. I remember how Ronnie would always park his car far from any other cars in a parking lot to protect it from damage! We had fun doing lunch, texting and chatting by phone. Ronnie made me laugh with his dry sense of humor. We maintained our strong friendship after we both left DHSMV over 15 years ago. I miss my dear friend. RIP Ronnie, you won’t be forgotten. God bless you and your family.
Rest in peace Ronnie. You will be missed! Go team Corvettes

Ronnie was also a great friend and fellow race buddy that I met in Jr. College and was friends with since. We had many racing trips and they were enjoyed by all. We all lost a good friend and will surely miss him.
I am so sorry to hear of Ronnie’s passing. I worked with Ronnie at FDOT and always found him to be professional and knowledgeable. He rarely spoke of his personal light, however he did speak of his trips with his mother and how special they were. He was always planning the next trip. These discussions always brought a sparkle to his eyes. He will surely be missed.
Ronnie was my faithful friend for almost fifty years. He served as best man at my wedding. He was witty and smart and someone you could always count on. He was also a car guy, a self taught mechanic, and a Corvette enthusiast. Together with our other racing buddies, we went to see the Corvette team race many times at Daytona, Sebring, and Road Atlanta. He said the racetracks were always fun, but his favorite part was being there with his friends. His black Corvette was his dream car and his pride and joy. He loved beaches, riding his mountain bike and listening to the music of John Lennon and Tom Petty. He will surely be missed.
So sad to learn of Ronnie's passing. Ronnie was so great to work with and I am thankful to have known him. I am so glad he got to enjoy some of his retirement.
I’m so shocked and sorry to hear of Ronnie’s passing. I was fortunate to hire him from his job in Atlanta and work with me at the at the Florida Department of Transportation IGs office. He was an excellent auditor. His work was detailed and thorough. He mentored a number of new staff and was respected by his peers. I recall his love of cars, his tales of attending races at Sebring, and his attempts to try and get me to buy a corvette.
He left us too early and will be missed.

I worked with Ronnie for several years and knew him to be committed, methodical and professional. Ronnie had a dry wit and was always ready to use it to keep his teammates on their toes. Those who knew Ronnie will agree, there aren’t many like him. We’ll miss him.
