Roger Leon Knight's Obituary
Roger Knight, age 74, passed away on December 4th, 2023, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Roger had a successful career in the insurance industry and retired a regional manager with Aflac in 2000 to move to Tallahassee, Florida, to be close to his daughter’s family and be a grandfather. Being a grandfather and being an encouragement to everyone around was his life’s work after retirement. His faith was witnessed by all through his perseverance in battling Multiple Sclerosis and cancer. He loved Four Oaks Community Church and Florida State football and honey buns, not necessarily in that order.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Debra Wagner Knight, his daughter Meredith Schaefer, his son-in-law, Geoffrey Schaefer, and his two grandsons, the smartest and handsomest boys you have ever met, Samuel Quinn Schaefer and Roger Caleb Schaefer, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Four Oaks Community Church, 4500 West Shannon Lakes, on Friday, January 12th, at 2:00.
