Robert Eugene Richardson's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Eugene Richardson, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 26, 11:00 a.m., at Lifesong Funeral Home, 20 South Duval Street, Quincy, FL. Anyone that wishes to do so, will have the opportunity to share a favorite memory of Bob.
Bob spent his entire life in Tallahassee, where he was born in 1951. He graduated from Leon High School in 1970 and attended Tallahassee Community College. He has been enjoying his retirement from Florida State University for many years. Bob was an avid Seminole football fan and could not wait for football season to roll around. He was always up with current events and loved discussing them. As a believer and a Christian, Bob was confident that he would spend eternity with his Lord and Savior in heaven.
Bob is predeceased by his father, James Richardson, his mother, Audrey Richardson, and his nephew, Michael Patten. He is survived by his two sisters, Patricia Patten, Wilson, Louisiana; Karen Rigg (Scott), Horse Shoe, North Carolina; and one brother, Brian Richardson (Jen), Jacksonville, Florida; and his nephew, Ashley Patten, Houston, Texas; and a great nephew, James Michael Patten, Houston, Texas.
Bob’s legacy of kindness, generosity, soft-heartedness, as well as his great love of all animals will always be remembered. No flowers please, but if you would like to honor Bob, his wishes were to donate to Best Friends Animal Society, P. O. Box 567. Kanab, UT 84741.
